Below is information you should find helpful in signing up to take either the PSAT or the SAT.  In addition the high school has some helps in preparing for the exams.

The Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test is test given to Juniors at Bedford High School each October.  The PSAT accomplishes two things for students.  First, it gives students a chance to experience what the SAT will be like.  The SAT is a test most colleges require for admission.  Secondly, the PSAT allows for students who score highly to be recognized as a National Merit Scholar. This honor may qualify students for scholarship monies.  Again the PSAT is given to all students at Bedford High School in October of their Junior year.

The Scholastic Aptitude Test is an exam any student planning on attending a four year college or university should take.   We recommend students take the SAT during the spring of their Junior year and the fall of their Senior year.   Students can choose to take the test on any of the offered testing dates at any of the sites offered for that date.   The SAT is given at Bedford High School on the March and November testing dates each year.
